This webpage will help explore the top grade technology, strategy, and tactics of the USA that proved futile in the Vietnam War due to North Vietnamese counter measures and tactics.
Our group came together to try and answer one of the most frequently asked questions about the Vietnam War: “Why (and why) did we lose?” Each section of this website analyzes a different military aspect of the war, with a focus on US technology and strategy. After close analysis of each of our topics, we came to the conclusion that the United States Military failed in Vietnam due largely to an over-reliance on technology, poor strategy, and the underestimation of the Vietnamese will to fight.
